How to Work Out Square Metres for Brick Tiles

So, you want to create a wonderful brick tile wall?  Yes!  This is going to look amazing!  Choose from a vast range of brick tiles to create a fabulous feature.  First things first, what are your requirements?  How many do you order?  Here we have a guide of how to work out square metres.

How to work out square metres

(M2 as an abbreviation)

Step1: Calculate the length of the area using centimetres (cm)

Step2: Calculate the width of the area using centimetres (cm)

Step 3: Multiply the length and width – this will give you the area in square metres.

Example – Calculation for m2

Width x Length: 200cm x 500cm (2m x 5m) = 10 M2
This is the total area, and how to work out square metres.

How many boxes of brick tiles do I require?

Now to translate that into how many brick tiles you require.

  • Basically multiply by 2!

Each box contains 30 tiles covering half a square metre (0.5 m2)

Brick tiles are sold per box. We have a multitude of different styles, textures and colours to choose from. Regardless of the range, we sell the tiles in the same box size.

So for the above calculation, 10m2 – you would require 20 boxes. However, we always recommend that you add 10% for breakages and cuts

Therefore 21-22 boxes would cover this area.
